Mel B is recovering after a harrowing accident left her in the emergency room with serious injuries.
On Instagram, under a picture of herself in a blue hooded sweatshirt and showing off her cast and sling, the 43-year-old announced the shocking news.
"Thank you to all the wonderful nurses doctors and my amazing surgeon for the care and expertise given to me here at the hospital I've been staying at, “ she wrote. “Suffering 2 broken ribs a severed right hand needing emergency care, to having had to have over a 3 hr surgery to repair the damage hence the purple sling.”
Then the America’s Got Talent judge apologized for being forced to cancel an upcoming appearance. "I've had to unfortunately cancel my book signing today in NY, I apologize to each and everyone one of you who bought their tickets to meet me today," she shared.

"I'm absolutely gutted," she continued, "But I can assure you it WILL happen at a later date, I promise, but for now my right arm/hand is all stitched up and I'm trying to keep still to heal my broken ribs."
Finally, she thanked her fans for being supportive as she took time off to recover. “Ohhh the pain,” she wrote. “But I'm in super safe hands with the care of everyone here at the hospital!!!!! Thank you all for understanding, I love you all."
Mel B didn’t reveal what caused her injuries or share the details of her mysterious accident. However, a follow up post revealed that her Spice Girls bandmates paid her a sweet hospital visit.
