Melissa McCarthy is a new woman! The comedian has dropped 75 pounds thanks to a new diet and exercise regime, and looks better than ever!
After starring as an undercover agent in Spy, which required an intense workout regime, the 45-year-old actress developed a soft spot for fitness. But even she didn’t realize she’d take it this far!
A source told OK! “Melissa never expected to drop all this weight. She has no intention of losing any more, but if by following the same plan, it drops off, she’s not going to complain.”
So what are Melissa’s healthy lifestyle secrets? Celeb trainer and nutritionist Charlene Ciardiello told OK! that a varied workout regimen involving interval training, and a diet including a smart salads with healthy proteins is key!
“Hit the pavement or treadmill for 20 to 30 minutes, alternating between walking or jogging for a minute, then running or sprinting for a minute,” Charlene suggested. If it’ll give us results like Melissa, sign us up!
It also helps to not put so much pressure on yourself. “I think theres something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked,” Melissa said recently.
