Morning Show Shake-Up: Michael Strahan Will Host His Own Hour Of ‘GMA’

Michael Strahan has been a man on a mission. Just two years ago, the former football player left his co-hosting gig with Kelly Ripa over at Live to co-anchor the Good Morning America desk—and now he’s going to get his own hour on the national morning show! Read on for all the details.
In the last few years, Michael has risen to become one of the most in-demand men of morning television, and he has shown no signs of slowing down.
Just when fans were used to seeing him at the GMA desk alongside Robin Roberts, he announced on Monday that he’s branching out to host his own hour of the hit show titled GMA Day. GMA correspondent Sara Haines will join him as co-anchor.
He excitedly tweeted the good news on Monday, “Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell the whole town. Shout it from the rooftops! Starting September 10th @sarahaines and I will be hosting the 3rd hour of @GMA! #gmaday #gma”

He repeated the news in an announcement video he did with Sara that he also posted on social media, "Tell your friends, tell your family, shout it from the rooftops! Because it's about to go down and we want you guys to join us so that we can make every day an amazingGMA Day.”
Sara also couldn’t contain her excitement over the news, shouting in the video “Let’s do this!”
