Kelly Ripa may be known for her diva antics behind-the-scenes, but her co-host Michael Strahan is not far behind her. After both didn’t show up to accept their Daytime Emmy Award on May 1, on set sources revealed the 44-year-old’s outrageous diva demands on Live! With Kelly & Michael.

Strahan, according to Page Six, is “selfish” and “difficult” to work with. While executive producer Michael Gelman denied it, sources said Michael regularly brings an entourage to set and shows up late.

According to the show insider, Michael was once acting so difficult that “producers brought in an audience for one of the pre-taped segments so he would behave.”

While Ripa’s diva demands have been made public, the report said Strahan’s own diva behavior and strained relationship with his co-star is because of jealousy.

“Things just got worse and worse and it was colored by the fact that Ripa was making so much more money than he was there,” a source said. “He walked the red carpet and the press wanted to talk to him more than Ripa.”
