Michelle Obama and Ellen DeGeneres have quite the hilarious friendship. In her latest show of support, Ellen assisted Michelle at Costco in selling signed copies of her book Becoming. Scroll to see the funny moment!
This isn’t the first time Ellen has taken Michelle on a shopping trip. Two years ago, she took her on a hilarious sojourn to a local CVS because she wanted to make sure she knew how to get things on her own after she exited the White House.
The comedian shared a sneak peak of her visit to Costco with Michelle. The two were headed there to sign copies of Becoming, which was released on Tuesday.
“Oh look, it’s the first time I’ve seen my book in a store!” Michelle screamed excitedly. Ellen brought out a megaphone and announced to the entire store, “We have Michelle Obama! Michelle Obama! She’ll be signing books!”

While the former First Lady signed a few copies, Ellen chimed in with a keyboard to provide some vocal support. She did however shade Michelle by singing, “One time she mentions me but only once!”
Michelle mentioned many other celebrities in her book as she opened up about her personal life. She even opened up about her daughter Malia’s prom night embarrassment, but apparently wasn't detailed enough about Ellen, according to the host.
