Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson took their relationship to the next level by getting couple's haircuts. The “Slide Away” songstress debuted their new ‘dos, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist and entrepreneur Sally Hershberger, on February 25.
Miley, 27, shared a black-and-white picture from the Los Angeles salon on her Instagram Story. “Always feel cool after a trip to Herbergerzzz,” she captioned the shot. In the photo, Miley rocked a touched-up version of the “modern mullet” she got from Sally in January.
Cody,22, donned a slicked-back style that was extra long on the sides. The A-list couple was also twinning with their black oversized sunglasses.
Sally reposted their artsy picture on her Instagram account and captioned it, “Coolest.” The legendary hairstylist previously told Page Six that the shorter and edgier look will be trendsetting. “Miley’s mullet was inevitable — we both felt it,” she said at the time. “It’s fashion, it’s cutting edge and Miley has made it her own. She’s never going to do what everyone else does; she’s going to set trends.”
“I always look forward to working with Miley; she’s such a free spirit and a true artist. As an artist myself, she understands my creative process and that hair too is a work of art,” Sally continued. “When I work, I like to take risks and Miley supports the vision. She’s very fashion forward and 100 percent authentic.”
Haircuts aren’t the only matching thing Miley and Cody have done together. In October 2019, they got inked together by celeb tattoo artist Nico Bassill in October 2019. Although they didn’t get the same design, they both stuck with a gothic-themed piece.
Miley got a heart design with a dagger running through it and a banner that said “ROCK N ROLL HEART.” The Australian native got a little skull with crossbones and a knife running through it.
The lovebirds started dating in October 2019. Not long after they made their relationship Instagram official, the “Gold Thing” singer gushed about his girlfriend. “I’m very happy. We are very, very happy,” Cody told People about his new girlfriend at the time. “She’s creative. She’s very passionate about what she does, and I’m very similar in that sense.”
