NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey bumped heads during The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Dec. 7 episode as they addressed several issues in their friendship. But on Sunday night’s RHOA, the former bests took a small step toward restoring their bond.

As they continued their discussion over dinner, Bailey explained to Leakes that she didn’t appreciate Leakes calling her husband, Peter Thomas, a b-tch. “I tried to get over it, but I feel like there are certain lines that must not be crossed,” Bailey said.
Leakes then chastised Bailey for not coming to her privately to speak about the issue. But Bailey challenged her claim, saying that she didn’t want to talk about their issue in front of the other wives. She added that she felt Leakes had a lack of respect for her.

Leakes apologized to Bailey for possibly making it seem she couldn’t talk to her about the issue. And in a sweet moment, Leakes and Bailey attempted to smooth over their differences.
“I just want us to move on,” Leakes said, as she and Bailey hugged. “I still love you.” She added in her confessional, “You know I love you but when people do me wrong, I have trouble letting them get close to me again.”
Welcoming Leakes shift in attitude, Bailey said she was “optimistic” the pair would be able to get over their issues. “For the first time in months, I saw the wall come down. I miss NeNe,” Bailey said.

Leakes and Bailey’s apologies on Sunday’s RHOA were a nice ending to the tense dinner party. But with the negative comments the two have been slinging at each other over the past few months, it appears that their truce was only temporary!
