After his arrest on Saturday, Nick Gordon appeared in court on Sunday to face a judge regarding the domestic battery and false imprisonment charges against him. Over the weekend, Nick’s girlfriend Laura Leal went to police and accused him of “hitting and punching her in the face and the back of the head with a closed fist,” police reports stated. As OK! readers know, Nick dated Whitney Houston’s late daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown and was found legally responsible for her death in 2016. According to police reports obtained by E! News, Nick got into a fight with Laura (pictured here) after he accused her of “trying to hook up with one of his friends.” “Leal advised when she told Gordon she would never do that to him, he didn't believe her,” the report detailed.
"Leal says that Gordon gave her an option to leave, but advised that when she tried to exercise that option, Gordon became upset and violent, punching and hitting her and refused to let her leave," the report alleged.
Laura claimed that when she tried contacting her sister on Facebook for help, Nick took her laptop. She also claimed that Nick had smashed her cell phone “a few weeks ago” and even hid his own “in order to further prevent communication for help.”
The police report also alleges that Nick "would not allow her to leave the apartment and continued to punch and hit her" and that "at some time after daylight," she escaped to Nick’s mother’s bedroom. Nick’s mom then took Laura to her sister, who brought Laura to the police station when Laura filed the charges against Nick, who was later arrested.
In his court appearance Sunday, Nick said it was Laura who hit him. The judge set Nick’s bail at $15,500 and also ordered him to wear a GPS monitor as well as stay away from Laura until his next court date in August.
