Hopefully Meek Mill wasn’t tuned into The Ellen DeGeneres show this week, because his leading lady Nicki Minaj didn’t exactly cast him in the best light—plus she brought up her ex, Safaree Samuels!
When Ellen questioned the rapper about the “engagement rings” Meek got her during their relationship, she quickly clarified, "First of all, that's not an engagement ring. I have two rings from my......from this boy that likes me. He said that that's my second ring and that if I get a third ring that that would be the engagement ring."
But why did she call her boyfriend “this boy that likes me?” And the interview got even more awkward when Nicki admitted that she isn’t exactly ready to walk down the aisle!

"You know what, I don't know,” she said when Ellen asked about getting married. “We're still figuring each other out and in fact I don't even want to say I'm in a relationship anymore because I think when people hear that they go to the mean place."
And she used Safaree as a prime example of why she wants to keep her new relationship private! "You know, I used to say I wasn't in a relationship, even though I was in a 12 year relationship. Now, I feel like just going back to that and saying, you know what, 'I'm single,'” Nicki claimed.
That may be tough, considering all the PDA Meek and Nicki have already shown on Instagram since they started dating last year!
