Nikki Bella recently revealed that she might wait to have kids until she's in her 40's (she's got six more years). Does this mean that there's hope for her and John Cena after all, given that his desire to not have children was a major part of them breaking up?
Nikki and John started dating in 2012 before he proposed to her on live television in April of 2017.
The couple canceled their wedding only weeks before it was supposed to happen on May 5th of this year.
Getting married was something that Nikki got cold feet from multiple times. It was widely reported that the reason for them splitting up was because he did not want to have kids.

He categorically denied that a couple of weeks after they broke up when he stopped by the Today show and broke things down. “For anyone speculating on what I’m doing with my life right now: I still love Nicole. I still would love to marry Nicole. I still would love to have a family with Nicole,” he explained. “There was an unfortunate set of circumstances that resulted in our relationship ending. There’s been a lot of speculation recently about me being seen in public, and everyone’s been like, ‘Oh John Cena’s enjoying the single life.’ No, I was supposed to be married and have a honeymoon over these two weeks. I am in my house alone surrounded by these emotionally strong memories. And everyday from 6 to 9 I get out of the house and talk to strangers as social interactions.”
They still remain broken up today. Nikki recently did an interview where she seems to have a change of heart in terms of having a child anytime soon. “She has been the best form of birth control for me,” Nikki said of her year-old niece, Birdie, who is her sister Brie’s daughter. “Here I was dying to be a mom. Now I want to push it back. Can my clock tick until my 40s?”
An issue that happens to be keeping these two apart is ambition. "One person had to sacrifice their career for us to be together, but I’m not willing to do that,” Nikki said, who is pouring herself into work while John films a movie in China until October. “I’m just not the girl who hangs out on set. I have my own career. "I want to be one of Forbes’ top entrepreneurs.”
