Nikki Bella and ex-fiancé John Cena may be broken up but they still care deeply for each other amid their canceled wedding drama. August 9 would have been the estranged couple's sixth anniversary so Nikki wrote a mysterious post on her IG to commemorate the occasion.
“You’ve changed me forever. I’ll never forget you,” Nikki’s post on Instagram read, along with the caption, “8/9 | 6.” The numbers signify the amount of years spent together (6) while 8/9 is the day that they first started dating.
John wrote a similar cryptic message on Twitter on the day of their anniversary as well.
The two canceled their May 5 wedding twice after a crazy few months trying to find their way back to each other and get back on the love track.

“After I called off the engagement, we tried to work on our relationship to get back to where it was, and in order to move forward with our wedding. After much time and soul-searching alone and together, we have decided to officially part ways,” the 34-year-old said.
Their relationship rollercoaster has been documented on her reality show, Total Bellas. The show even gave the audience the exact moment when Nikki decided not to walk down the flower lined aisle. She confided in her sister, Brie about her struggles with admitting her fears about tying the knot.
