Nipsey Hussle’s Killer Identified By The Los Angeles Police Department

Nipsey Hussle was mourned by the hip hop community and the city of Los Angeles after he was shot outside his clothing store on March 31. Now, the Los Angeles Police department has identified their prime suspect as Eric Holder.

The LAPD issued a press release on April 1 and announced, “Suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Eric Holder of Los Angeles.”

The police department also asked residents to help locate the suspect and included a mug shot of Nipsey’s suspected killer along with the description of the vehicle he left the scene in.

LA Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted, “Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy.”

He continued, “L.A. is hurt deeply each time a young life is lost to senseless gun violence. My Crisis Response Team is assisting the families coping with shock and grief.”

Nipsey, 33, is survived by his daughter Emani from a previous relationship and son Kross, whom he shared with his longtime girlfriend Lauren London. Lauren, 34, has yet to speak out on social media about her family’s loss.

The LAPD Commissioner revealed on Twitter on March 31 that he was due to meet the late rapper and ROC Nation on April 1 “to talk about ways he could help stop gang violence and help us help kids.”
