Yikes! North West's Fave Jojo Siwa's Makeup Recalled Because It Contains Asbestos

North West is a huge fan of Jojo Siwa, but her mom Kim Kardashian isn’t likely to let her daughter support the YouTube star’s beauty products any longer! The Dance Moms alum’s makeup collection at Claire’s was recalled by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration after they discovered it contained asbestos.

Jojo, 16, launched a makeup kit in partnership with Claire’s that had eyeshadow, lip gloss and nail polish.

The YouTube star has been pretty successful but her latest collaboration has scary ingredients. The FDA released a statement on June 6 along with a picture of the makeup set.

“The FDA is releasing new results from its continued testing of cosmetic products for asbestos & is warning consumers to not use 2 additional products that have tested positive for asbestos & have been recalled," the statement read.

Asbestos is a highly toxic material which, if ingested or inhaled over a prolonged period of time, can cause cancer.

Because of the dangerous ingredient, all of Jojo’s products were pulled off shelves. The FDA also warned people who may have already purchased the product to dispose of it.

The star has a large following for younger audiences. Her fan base also includes T.I. and Tameka Harris’ daughter Heiress, Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska’s daughter Aubrey, and Kim’s daughter North, 7.

Jojo has yet to release a statement addressing her recalled products.
