OK!'s 25 Days to VMAs: The Biggest Brawls at the VMAs
What is it about MTV's Video Music Awards that make celebrities so angry? We're not sure what gets people so fired up, but it sure is entertaining for the rest of us.
Brandy and Monica
No, rivalry wasn't just in a song! "The Boy Is Mine" singers Brandy and Monica confirmed in 2012 that they had a physical altercation backstage at the VMAs in 1998.
Kid Rock and Tommy Lee
Love is hard. Pamela Anderson's one-time spouses Kid Rock and Tommy Lee came to physical blows at the 2007 show which Rock later said was "a long time coming."
Kreayshawn and Rick Ross
Kreayshawn, don't write a check your fists can't cash. At the 2011 VMAs, Rick Ross confronted the tiny rapper after she kept insulting him in her verses.
Kurt Cobain and Axl Rose
Who knows how Axl Rose and Kurt Cobain began warring, but by the 1992 VMAs things were so bad that Kurt reportedly spit on Axl's piano. At the end of Nirvana's set, drummer Dave Grohl taunted Axl directly from the stage.
Madonna and Courtney Love
Poor Kurt Loder. He was innocently interviewing Madonna at the '95 show when an intoxicated Courtney Love started throwing shoes and other items at the pair from afar.

Moby publicly stated that Eminem's lyrics were misogynistic and homophobic, prompting Slim Shady to... call him a homophobic slur. Right.
Poison at the VMAs
Sometimes you don't even need to be in separate bands to brawl. In 1991, Poison's Bret Michaels and his own bandmate, C. C. DeVille exchanged a few punches.
RuPaul and Milton Berle
Um, awkward. RuPaul and Milton Berle presented at the 1993 VMAs together and some uncomfortable and ad-libbed jokes about gender, sexuality, and adult diapers ensued.
Russell Brand and the Jonas Brothers
During his opening monologue at the '09 VMAs, host Russell Brand mocked the sworn celibacy of the Disney-fied Jonas Brothers.
Van Halen
It was an awesome moment in rock and roll when Van Halen put aside their differences to unite on stage at the '96 VMAs... that lasted until they got backstage, and David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen broke into a fight.
Taylor Swift and Kanye West
I'mma let you finish, but Kanye West and Taylor Swift had the best VMA brawl of all time! Of all time. *drop the mike*
