Olivia Jade is finally cutting her mom Lori Loughlin some slack. A source close to the YouTube star claims that weeks after cutting off contact with her parents in the wake of the college admissions scandal, she is back “in communication” with them.
“She was angry with her parents at first, but now realizes that they were just trying to do what’s best for her,” the source told Us Weekly. “Olivia loves her mom and dad very much, but is especially close with Lori.”
Following the arrest of Lori, 54, and husband Mossimo Giannulli in March, Olivia, 19, was reportedly living with her boyfriend Jackson Guthy.
Lori and Mossimo, 55, were accused of paying $500,000 to buy both Olivia and daughter Isabella acceptance into University of Southern California. The parents have pled not guilty and are facing jail time if convicted.

While her parents battle their legal troubles, the source claimed Olivia is trying to move past the drama and rehabilitate her career.
“She is focusing on how to turn this around so she can be famous for the right reasons again,” the insider said.
