Paris Hilton Claims Her Engagement Ring 'Was Free' — But The Jeweler Disagrees

Paris Hilton may have broken up with her ex-fiancé Chris Zylka in November, but she's still holding on tight to her $2 million engagement ring. She claims her pricey piece of bling didn't cost her ex anything, but the jeweler disagrees!
"It's mine...and it was free," the 37-year-old told TMZ about the ring.
The shiny bauble was made by Michael Greene of Greene & Co., who said the diamond has "a conservative value of $2 million."
Paris told Jenny McCarthy on the Jenny McCarthy Show that Michael gave them the ring for free in exchange for publicity. "Look, the person who we got it from got millions and millions of dollars of free publicity,” she said.

Michael insists otherwise. He said Chris did pay for the ring, but he didn't specify exactly how much. "I should have just said he wired the money to my account. I don't do barter and trade — I don’t need their publicity," he revealed to Town & Country.
Paris and Chris got engaged over New Year's weekend earlier this year during a skiing trip to Aspen, Colorado. The couple was supposed to tie the knot in November, but they announced in August that they had pushed their wedding date back to 2019. They then broke off the engagement altogether.
