Patrick Dempsey appeared to be in good spirits on Sunday as he hung out in a race track pit during the 83rd Annual 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race in Le Mans, France.
The actor and racer has had one wild past month, with the former Grey’s Anatomy star being wrapped up in a nasty scandal regarding his departure from the show.
But there were no signs of stress on the actor’s face as he flashed a huge grin while enjoying his second career as a race car driver.
Dempsey faced some serious drama back in May when it was revealed that his departure from Grey’s Anatomy may have been caused by his reported affair with a staffer on the show. And sources added that the alleged fling likely played a role in Dempsey’s split from his wife of 15 years, Jillian Fink.

“It was obvious to everyone Patrick was sleeping with her,” a source told RadarOnline.com about the situation. “It got very messy and emotional on set and became a huge liability.”
