Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are newlyweds and loving it! The couple exchanged vows in New York at the Oheka Castle, and after having with the bride called “the party of the year,” they are back to their regular routine.
The only difference is now they’re glowing more than ever! Apparently they didn’t get everything on their wedding registry, and were spotted doing some shopping at Kate Somerville, a skin care shop, in Los Angeles.
Peta looked a lot different than she did in her wedding gown, as she went for an all-black look. She paired her low cut dress with a black hat and designer bag, while Maksim kept it casual in blue shorts and a button-up.
While Maksim and Peta got engaged in 2015, they met in 2009 after being cast in a Broadway production of Burn the Floor. Though they split in 2014, they rekindled their romance several months later, and Maksim couldn’t have sounded happier describing their reconciliation.

“I dodged a bullet by getting her back because she could have fallen in love with somebody else and this never would’ve happened,” he told People at the time.
“She’s my best friend,” he added. “She makes me a better man.” Good job getting her back, Maksim!
