Comedian and star of MTV's Girl Code Carly Aquilino shared her reaction to the news on her Insta Story. Apparently she's been getting a lot of messages about Pete and Ariana.
In a screenshot shared on her Instagram, Carly's friend texted her, "I know I’m the 9 billionth person to text you today about this, but… I can’t." It's pretty obvious what that message is about considering Pete and Ariana have been making headlines the past few weeks. Carly's response? "HAHHAHAHAAH." The comedian added, "My day in a text message."
Carly, 27, and Pete, 24, dated in 2015, before he started seeing his most recent ex-girlfriend, Cazzie David.
Cazzie, 24, is a writer and the daughter of comedian Larry David. She's already shared her reaction to the engagement, posting a photo of herself drinking on vacation with the caption, "Came here a person, leaving a human bottle of wine."
Pete and Cazzie dated for two years before he broke it off last month. Not long after, it was rumored he was dating Ariana. He and the pop star went public with their relationship two weeks ago.
