Porsha Williams is sounding off on why she gave her The Real Housewives of Atlanta castmate Phaedra Parks some extra support while the reality star was dealing with the break up of her marriage to Apollo Nida.
During RHOA’s seventh season, which wrapped on Sunday, fans followed Parks as she attempted to work through her husband’s fraud sentencing and 8-year imprisonment. And Williams said she made it a point to encourage her friend as she faced some major changes in her life.
"Honestly, being there for Phaedra was easy. She was there for me when I went through my divorce," Williams told Us Weekly. “Just the phone call away at any point and time. That was our relationship at the time."
Parks announced her plans to divorce Nida in October 2014, and Williams added that she tried to help her through that emotional time as well. "I wanted to make sure that she felt I was just a phone call away, whatever that was — whether we just get on the phone and have a conversation, not even talking about what she was going through,” Williams said.

Parks sparked a nasty feud with her former bestie Kandi Burruss during the show’s seventh season when she accused the singer of not being supportive of her during her marriage breakdown. Burruss expressed her shock at the accusations both on the show and in recent interviews. And according to Wiliams, she and Phaedra never went into the specifics of her issues with Burruss.

"We never really went through all the details — her, Kandi, her husband, none of that! It was just being there for her and just being supportive with whatever she was doing," Williams said. However, Williams did take a moment to call out some of her other RHOA castmates, specifically Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey, for not doing their all to lift up Parks during her marriage drama.
"You had Cynthia coming from the left with these accusations, and Kenya, and everybody just ganging up on her in their own little way trying to rip her name to shreds," she added. She also praised Parks for being “consistent” and not responding to the drama. “Love will conquer all at the end of the day. She didn’t even have to clap back — all she needed to do was concentrate on herself,” Williams said.
