It’s been quite a long time since we have seen Kylie Jenner at any sort of public event, as the first time mommy to be has been doing her best to stay in hiding as her belly continues to grow! Even though she has become a major force in the cosmetics industry, she chose to skip a major beauty awards ceremony and opted to send her BFF Jordyn Woods to accept an honor on her behalf. Kylie was the recipient of the Newsmaker of the Year award at Women’s Wear Daily’s annual Beauty Inc. Awards for her namesake beauty brand, Kylie Cosmetics.
Her best friend Jordyn accepted the award on her behalf, as shown on WWD’s Instagram story. She looked stunning with her black top and multi-colored plaid skirt.
Although she didn’t attend, her business is something that she still takes very seriously as she has been sharing some of the new products for her in-demand beauty line all over social media.

Kylie was still elated to win such an honor, as she thanked WWD on her own Instagram page as well, captioning it with “Thank you wwd!”
She has been all over the news these past couple of months in anticipation of giving birth to her first child ever with boyfriend Travis Scott. She has been posting pictures with the color pink on her social media, and even threw a pink-colored pajama baby shower last month, indicating that she may be having a girl.
The baby is due this February. If she’s invited to attend any other major events until then, don’t plan on expecting her being at those as well. A source close to PEOPLE magazine said "Kylie wants to disappear and be out of the spotlight and focus on her health and happiness.”
