Prince Harry warmed hearts around the world over the weekend when he got a little emotional while meeting veterans from the Walking With The Wounded team who wrapped their 1,000-mile walk at Buckingham Palace on Sunday!
The six-member team kicked off their trek on Aug. 22 in Scotland, traveling through the country all the way to London, England, where they ended their journey.
Harry was all smiles as he chatted with the team.
But it was the actions of U.S Marine Kirstie Ennis that caught the beloved royal off guard!
Ennis decided to give Harry the last of the 24 dog tags she had left in different locations in the United Kingdom during the team’s trip.
According to People, she was initially going to leave the final tag at Buckingham Palace. But she decided to give it to Prince Harry instead! "No I can't, I can't accept this," Harry said, according to People. "Please, you know what this means to me, I want you to," Ennis replied to Harry, with the duo then sharing an adorable hug. How sweet!
Harry walked 17 miles of the journey with the team back in September, and has been an avid supporter of the organization for several years now! What do you think of Harry’s meeting with the Walking With The Wounded veterans? Tweet us @OKMagazine or let us know in the comments section below.
