5 Things To Know About Princess Charlotte’s Upcoming Christening

It’s been a month since Princess Charlotte of Cambridge graced the world with her presence (and chubby cheeks!). And now the newest addition to the royal family is set to make her second appearance for her christening! From the date to the dress, get all the details on Her Royal Highness’ special day.
The baptism will take place on July 5 at St. Mary Magdalene Church, which is on Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham estate.
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s home, Anmer Hall, is on the estate in Norfolk. The location also has ties to late grandmother Princess Diana, who was born at Park House on the Sandringham estate.
All in the family! Princess Charlotte’s second cousin, Princess Eugenie, 25, also had her christening there, while older brother Prince George was baptized at Chapel Royal at St. James’ Palace.

The Princess will most likely wear the christening gown Prince George wore. Angela Kelly, the Queen’s assistant, designed the family heirloom in 2008.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, will conduct the one-month-old’s ceremony. He is the same Archbishop who baptized Prince George in October 2013.
