Rapper Lil Boosie Arrested & Slapped With Gun Charge After Traffic Stop

Boosie Badazz (previously known as Lil Boosie) has found himself in major trouble with the law. The rapper was arrested in Newnan, Georgia after he was pulled over during, what was supposed to be, a routine traffic stop. Law enforcement allegedly found a loaded gun and marijuana in his car.

On Monday, April 8, a deputy officer stopped Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch Jr., after reportedly witnessing the vehicle swerving in and out the line. The officer claimed the Dodge Charger narrowly avoided hitting another vehicle.

After pulling the car over and speaking to Boosie, 36, who was allegedly behind the wheel, the office smelled marijuana.

The car was subsequently searched and a 11 gram bag filled with what looked like marijuana was found. Law enforcement also reportedly found a loaded 9mm gun, a suspected THC vape pen, and a large sum of money.

Boosie was charged with failure to maintain lane and both he and his passenger, Antonio Allen, were charged with possession of marijuana and of a schedule one drug and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

They are both being held at the Coweta County Jail.

In 2009, Boosie served prison time for a marijuana charge. A year later, he was slapped with multiple drug possession with intent of distribution charges as well as a first-degree murder charge.  He was released early in 2014 and was on parole until 2018.
