Kyle Richards has opened up about her anxiety throughout this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. During part one of the reunion on July 16, she revealed things got so bad for her one time that her husband Mauricio Umansky almost had to call 911.
Kyle, 50, revealed she suffered from generalized anxiety disorder and the condition was exacerbated when she got her mammogram with castmate Lisa Rinna. The RHOBH star was in an anxious frenzy as she waited for the results.
Andy Cohen addressed Lisa, 56, with a question from a fan. The Bravo host asked, “Considering the anxiety it caused her, do you regret taking Kyle to your mammogram?”
“No, I don’t, ever, because I think everyone should have a mammogram,” Lisa answered.
Kyle also noted that she was scheduled to have the exam anyway. “It was October. Every October I have my mammogram,” she said. “The reason my mom died was because she skipped her mammogram for five years, so why not take this opportunity to show. We’re gonna do this even though I was terrified.”
Another fan asked Teddi Mellencamp was able to help Kyle work through her anxiety, considering her own history with the disorder. Andy, 51, read, “How do you help Kyle when she’s spiraling? Have you sent her to your therapist?” Teddi confirmed, “Yes, we have done that together.” In unseen footage, she and Kyle did a meditation session together.
“My husband almost had to call 911 one night, it was so bad,” Kyle revealed during the reunion.
Kyle previously opened up about her anxiety after a blowout fight with Lisa Vanderpump on the premiere episode. “I was dealing with crippling anxiety & had to start taking medication for it,” she tweeted on February 13.
