If Bravo producers want Caroline Manzo back on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, they’re going to have to work a lot harder. During an appearance on her son Albie’s Dear Albie podcast, the former Bravo star opened up about the show's alleged offer to return that left her feeling “insulted.”
Caroline claimed the production company offered her a chance to return to the show — but there was a catch. Previously a main star for the first five seasons, Caroline would be demoted to a “friend” of the cast if she returned
“I was one of the original women that built this show,” she said while explaining that she ultimately rejected the offer.
The mother of three said she gave the company an ultimatum. “Either I come back full-blown Caroline Manzo, Housewife Of New Jersey, and you pay me, or I stay home and I watch you,” she recalled.
"Pay me what I'm worth,” she continued. “You got an OG here, and I'm gonna be arrogant, okay?”

“It's just a matter of respect, okay?” she explained. “ I was one of the original women that built this show. I was one of the women that they still talk about, okay? Don't come back to me like I'm a newbie and I'm gonna fall for your bulls**t because I'm not.”
“Give me a reasonable compensation and a reasonable position that I feel I've earned and belong then I'll come back,” she added. “I'm nobody's ‘friend.’”
Though Caroline had harsh words for the production company, she had nothing but love for show producer Andy Cohen. “He never reached out to me because it has to go up the food chain, okay? It didn't reach up to that level, you know,” she explained.
