One is an American actress from the deep South, while the other is married to the future King of England. But according to an insider, the blonde and brunette are secretly best friends! After meeting at a charity event in L.A. during Kate’s U.S. visit in 2011, the two hit it off and stayed in touch. And now they chat about everything from parenting to their deepest secrets!
“Reese and Kate really hit off,” the source claimed. “They’re much closer than people realize.”
According to the insider, “They don’t like to text, for fear of creating a record of their conversations that could get hacked. So they set a time, usually early morning for Reese in L.A., which is late afternoon for Kate, and they chat.”

“They trust each other with their secrets, which is not easy for either of them to do,” the source claimed. “And though their lives are very different, they’ve truly become good friends.”
