“I’m super excited about the next doctor’s appointment,” Kandi, 43, told Shadina via FaceTime. “I know. We’re getting there!” Shadina responded. She also told Kandi and Todd that her baby bump was starting to show.
Kandi marveled at the experience of having a baby through surrogacy. “I just can’t believe we have a baby on the way. I just keep having these thoughts like ‘Who’s she going to look like?’ or ‘What’s her personality going to be like?’” she said in a confessional.
“Clearly this pregnancy is a lot different than when I carried Ace. Right now I’m looking about zero months,” she joked. “I still haven’t posted or said anything like, ‘Yes, the baby is on the way.’ Maybe I’ll just be like Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade and just pop up like ‘Hello! Here’s my baby!’ I might do that.” The couple eventually announced that they were expecting in September.

Todd, 46, was confused about what they would do for their baby shower since Kandi wasn’t pregnant. “So, you’re not carrying,” he told her. “Will she be at the baby shower with the belly? Cause who’s touching the belly? Usually, people touch the belly.”
The RHOA star shot back, “No. We’re not gonna have people touch her belly!”
“I thought that was the whole thing. So you’re just gonna sit there looking regular. You don’t know anything about this surrogacy thing,” Todd said. “Surrogate etiquette. Look it up!”
Kandi recently revealed she’s behind schedule when it comes to planning for the baby’s arrival. “Because I’m not physically seeing my body change, it’s like I don’t keep track of the time the same,” she told Us Weekly on November 14. “Like, I should have had my baby’s room together a long time ago! I’m just judging it by when I see her … and I’m like, ‘Wow, OK. We’re getting there.’ But it took a long time for her to show. So it was like, ‘I got more time than I need!’ And now I’m like, ‘Whoa, we’re in a rush right now.’”
