Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are trying to have a baby via surrogate, but the couple came to blows about each person’s role in the process in a clip from an upcoming episode of the show, airing February 17.
In the clip, Kandi, 42, met up with Todd, 45, at the Old Lady Gang restaurant to discuss whether they were going to move forward with the surrogacy process. When Kandi asked Todd if he was ready to begin the journey, he responded, “I don’t know if I want to be a part of the process.”
He continued, “Like I think I just want the kids to come but I don’t know if I want to see this lady carrying our kid. I don’t know. I haven’t really figured it out in my head.”
Kandi quipped, “That’s something you really need to figure out.”

Behind the scenes, the RHOA star told cameras, “Todd is weird because one minute he’s saying, ‘Oh yeah, I want to be there at the doctor’s appointment.’ He’s the main one who wants to have kids because he was an only child so he’s sending mixed signals.”
In a throwback clip of the show, Todd was seen asking doctors, “Is it weird if I rub the surrogate’s belly?”
Todd later asked, “Who has a surrogate? I’m from the Bronx.” Kandi was quick to point out that her process to undergo IVF in order to have their son, Ace, wasn’t “the norm.” The mom-of-two left Todd with the decision of having kids or destroying their embryos.
