Nene Leakes has had a hard time as her husband Gregg’s caretaker amid his stage 3 cancer battle. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star got candid in a vlog post and suggested the aggressive diagnosis might be “payback” for the times he cheated on her.

Nene, 51, posted a video on The Life of Nene Youtube channel on March 17. She opened up and said, “As a caretaker, you start — it depends on where your relationship is. You look at the person and think about, you know people love to say, ‘Karma is a bitch’ and karma this and karma that.”
She continued, “You look at the person and be like, ‘I wonder if it’s that karma?’ Now, that ain’t right, right? But you’re human.”
The RHOA star then revealed, “You look at the person and say, ‘You did so many different things to me. Is this the payback?’ You hope not.” She admitted she started to think, “‘Maybe you’re getting it back from that time you cheated on me.’ You don’t ever know.”
“But as a caretaker, these are the thoughts that go through your head because the medication got them on a roller coaster ride, and they lash out on you. It’s a lot, it’s a lot,” Nene ended her vlog.
Nene and Gregg’s relationship has been rocky both on camera and off amid his cancer diagnosis. In November 2018 she tweeted, “I would just think if I have or had cancer, I would see life so differently! Not being mean, grouchy and evil for no real reason!” He eventually apologized for his behavior with a lengthy post on Instagram in January 2019.
Despite their complex relationship, she slammed rumors that she and Gregg split on March 19.
