PHOTOSRHOA’s Season 8 Hasn’t Started Production, Final Cast Lineup Still Being Decided Following NeNe Leakes’ Departure

There are definitely some major changes on the horizon for The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s upcoming eighth season, with Claudia Jordan already reportedly being fired and Nene Leakes announcing her departure from the show on Monday! But according to the folks at Bravo, production on the series has yet to begin as the Season 8 lineup remains unknown.
In a post on the Bravo site, the network revealed that RHOA insiders said that production hasn't started on Season 8.
"It's still too early to talk about who's confirmed for the next season," the statement from Bravo Production read. "We haven't begun production, but we're excited about how the season is shaping up, and look forward to announcing details soon."
With Leakes’ slightly dramatic exit from RHOA, it appears that the network is still attempting to lock down the final cast of Season 8 housewives.

But even though they have yet to be announced, many fans are curious if some filming may have been done with a few prospective cast members, with the raw footage being held until a final decision is made.
Along with Jordan’s firing, it has been rumored that no other housewives from Season 7 have heard if they will be returning or not. And former housewife Shereé Whitfield and actress Kim Fields are being named as possible new additions to the show!
In her statement about quitting the show, Leakes hinted that she had indeed been offered a spot on the show but chose to turn it down to pursue other opportunities. However, she provided no additional info on what other RHOA ladies may be returning for Season 8.
