Lisa Rinna was a major addition to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in its fifth season, but it turns out... she could have been an OG cast member! Andy Cohen revealed why he decided to pass on casting her initially during Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday, February 19. Read on for all the details.
Lisa appeared on WWHL alongside RuPaul's Drag Race judge Carson Kressley.
A WWHL fan called into the after show and asked Lisa if she had ever been approached to be a Housewife prior to her joining RHOBH.
She let Andy explain the situation, who admitted to not casting her originally for one big reason.
"We did talk to Lisa in the beginning, season one, and put her on tape," he said. "I felt very strongly, for better or worse, that I felt it should be all unknown people."

"Even though Kim (Richards) and Kyle (Richards) had acted years before, whatever, I felt like Lisa Rinna was too much of a personality and name," Andy continued.
"And then, by the way, I will say, when you did join, I was like 'it is time for Lisa Rinna to join!' You had been on this show, I knew that you knew the women, you had a long history. I just felt that the show needed to establish itself on its own before I could ever picture it."
Along with Kim and Kyle, the OG RHOBH castmates were Lisa Vanderpump, Adrienne Maloof, Taylor Armstrong and Camille Grammer.
