Eileen Davidson Reveals Why She Left 'The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills' Days After Lisa Vanderpump Claimed She Was Fired
Sept. 24 2019, Updated 6:14 p.m. ET
Eileen Davidson set the record straight on why she exited The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The big reveal came just after her former costar Lisa Vanderpump claimed she was fired. Tension between the two women exploded after the soap legend said that LVP skipping the season 9 reunion was a “p****y move” on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday, September 17.
Eileen, 60, came with the receipts when she shared an old video of her from October 2018 on Twitter on Friday, September 20. In the old clip, she discussed her reasons for leaving the Bravo series.
“So @lisavanderpump and all her lovely friends! I gave this interview a year ago,” she tweeted. “Check it out around the 13:00 minute mark. Also, when I left @RHOBH, Bravo asked me not to discuss deets. Have a lovely day!!!”
Eileen revealed that she departed the long-running Bravo series after the producers wanted to demote her to a friend of the show. Vicki Gunvalson received the same treatment this season on Real Housewives of Orange County after being a full-time cast member for over a decade.
The 2-time Daytime Emmy winner also said in the interview that she didn’t plan on being on the show “for that long.” Eileen held her diamond for three straight seasons beginning in 2014.

Lisa, 58, slammed Eileen after her appearance on WWHL when she criticized the Sur owner for skipping the season 9 reunion. All of the other castmates, including friend of the show Camille Grammer, showed up for the taping in June 2019.
“MMM @eileen_davidson at least I resigned, you weren’t honest about the fact that you were fired… Now that’s a p***y move as you call it,” Lisa wrote on Twitter a day after Eileen’s WWHL appearance.
Eileen appears to still be close to many of her other costars. Denise Richards (and her husband Aaron Phypers), Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne showed up to the premiere of her film 7 Days to Vegas (costarring her husband Vincent Van Patten) at the Laemmie Music Hall in Beverly Hills on Saturday, September 21.
