Garcelle Beauvais may be the newest castmember to join Bravo's reality series, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she's still sticking to her acting roots! The actress is set to star in the upcoming comedy film, Coming 2 America, and she shared a sexy look from the set!
Garcelle, 52, posted a snap from the movie set on November 5. She rocked a beige Fendi sweater and showed off her gorgeous makeup look as part of her costume. Her hair was full of body and volume after it was ironed straight.
Garcelle's high cheekbones were highlighted and slicked with gold shimmer. Her eyes were lined with blue kohl and she had on heavy black mascara. Her eyelids were dusted with gold and bronze eyeshadow. "Loving my make up #comingtoamerica thx @makeupsurgeon #atl thx @mercglow?," the NYPD Blue star captioned the pretty pic.
The romantic comedy is currently shooting in Atlanta and it is the sequel to the 1988 Eddie Murphy film, Coming To America. Garcelle stars alongside Eddie, Arsenio Hall, Leslie Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos, Tracy Morgan, Wesley Snipes, and James Earl Jones.
The Paramount Pictures-helmed flick is set after the events of the first film. Former Prince Akeem Joffer (famously played by Eddie) is set to become King of Zamunda when he discovers he has a son he never knew about in America. Akeem and his pal Semmi (portrayed by Arsenio), set off to America once again.
Alongside her acting career, Garcelle is the newest star to join RHOBH. She was added to the lineup in August for season 10 alongside Sutton Stracke. The mother of two became the first black castmember to be on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “I am excited and proud to be joining the cast of such a wildly popular and beloved show like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As a working actor who has been in the industry for some time, it’s exhilarating to have the opportunity to delve into a new chapter in the entertainment spectrum," the Jamie Foxx Show star said in a statement at the time.
"As the first African American Housewife in the Beverly Hills franchise, I am honored and humbled by this awesome opportunity to exemplify the fact that Black Girl Magic lives and thrives in every zip code!” Garcelle added, "Already being intimately familiar with the spotlight of Hollywood, my journey of successes and trials has already been chronicled and shared with my many loyal supporters around the world. The continual encouragement, support and yes, even at times, criticism, have helped make me the dynamic woman I am today."
Coming 2 America is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2020.
