Lisa Vanderpump’s 2018 was extremely difficult due to the passing of her brother Mark, who committed suicide in April. She spoke about her regrets about not taking a year off from filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which began rolling tape right after his passing. Read on for all the details.
“Andy Cohen said, 'You know, I think we should've given you a year off when you asked for it,’” she shared with Entertainment Tonight. “He said, 'I don't think you were in a mental state where you were really prepared to deal with it,' it was very emotional … 'With hindsight, we probably should've given you the year off.’”
Lisa admitted that she “struggled a lot” after her brother’s death. “The first few months it was really difficult, and I was kind of searching for happiness, so, I think you know … when something really significant happens in your life, maybe it does change you, you know?”
Things have only gotten worse for her on RHOBH as she’s been at a war of words with her costars.

This stemmed from a story that broke in September of last year about how Dorit Kemsley allegedly returned one of her rescue pups after it nipped at one of her children.
Insiders have claimed Lisa’s innocence in the matter all this time later. It still hasn’t stopped her castmates from shading her several times.
Lisa Rinna and Teddi Mellencamp have both photoshopped her out of the season 9 cast photo. LVP has also been criticized for bailing on several Housewives-related events including Andy Cohen’s baby shower on Saturday, January 26.
