Gina Kirschenheiter Reveals Estranged Husband Matt & New Boyfriend Travis Mullen Have Met
Gina Kirschenheiter's estranged husband, Matt, and her new boyfriend, Travis Mullen, have finally met and it wasn't as awkward as one would think. The Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed that her ex and new beau crossed paths during a panel at BravoCon on Sunday, November 17.
Gina, 35, married Matt in 2010 after meeting at Long Island's Hofstra University. They share three children — Nicholas, 7, Sienna, 5, and Luca, 3. The twosome split in April 2018 and Gina filed for divorce. She went public with her romance with Travis in October 2019.
The Bravo star opened up to panel host Amy Phillips about how the men met. “Matt sat down with Travis,” Gina began. “It was really weird for me … But he said, ‘Don’t worry, he’s a really nice guy.’“
The New York native continued to explain how Matt wasn't happy about her new relationship in the beginning and “it created a bad situation." However, Matt came around because Gina's boyfriend was always hanging out with their kids.

“He wanted to meet him because he’s around the kids,” Gina said. “He accepted this was happening. Sometimes Matt can be stubborn but he always does at the end of the day put the kids first.”
She added that she and Matt are trying to co-parent as peacefully they can. “I’m in a good relationship, a healthy relationship ... I’m trying to co-parent with Matt and doing the best I can. It’s hard.” In August 2019, the pair came to a custody agreement. Gina was awarded primary physical custody of their three kids and almost $10,000 in monthly child support. Matt is able see the children on the weekends.
Earlier this month, the mother of three gushed over her new man in an interview with Page Six. "It’s kind of interesting because I basically don’t like anybody generally. And I kind of knew that I liked Travis before we even had met, just based off of like how we would talk to each other," Gina said. "He was just like, really open with his feelings, like no game playing, no bulls**t. And we seem to have like the same outlook on life. And I kind of knew honestly that I really liked him before I even met him. So then I was just kind of like when he showed up for the first date, like, please think he’s hot. Please think he’s hot! And he is! So I win."
