New Feud Alert: Iggy Azalea Wants No Part of Rita Ora’s ‘Lady Marmalade’
No “soul sister” here! Iggy Azalea left no room for interpretation when she shot down Rita Ora’s recent idea to remake the classic “Lady Marmalade.”
In Iggy fashion, the Australian rapper took to Twitter to make it clear she wants absolutely no part in her “Black Widow” partner’s remake idea.
“Please leave me out of the whole Lady Marmalade conversation,” the “Fancy” rapper tweeted. “I have nothing to do with ritas ideas & agree it should be left alone. Thanks.”
Iggy’s comments came after Rita Ora’s recent interview with The Sun, when she admitted that she wanted to recreate the hit song with some of today’s hottest artists.

“It’s always been my goal to create another 'Lady Marmalade. I'm trying to round up the troops,” Rita told The Sun. “I think it would be me, Miley Cyrus, Charli XCX -- she'd be fun -- and Iggy Azalea."

Rita’s remake wouldn’t be the first for the 1975 classic “Lady Marmalade.” As Moulin Rouge fans know all too well, the hit was remade in 2001 featuring Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya, and Pink.
