OK! Exclusive: Bromance In The Making? Brad Pitt And Robert Pattinson Becoming Besties
Robert Pattinson isn’t known to roll with a big crew like Taylor Swift does, but the actor does have a new A-list best bud he’s making friends with through work but off camera: Brad Pitt!
A source told OKMagazine.com that Pattinson and Pitt have become fast friends since they started pre-production work on The Lost City Of Z, which is due to begin filming mid-August. Pittinson, anyone?
“Brad fought for Rob to join the cast alongside Charlie Hunnam and Sienna Miller,” the source said. “He and Rob have been in regular contact about his role and they’ve since formed a real friendship.”
The friendship is getting personal, too. Brad is planning to introduce Rob to his kids, who are big Twilight fans. “Rob’s promised to meet Zahara and Shiloh,” the source said.

According to the insider, Brad tapped Rob for the role because he originally had plans to star in the Amazonian exploration film himself, but the source said “it’s much cheaper for Brad to produce in it than to star in it.”

Pitt initially sought out Benedict Cumberbatch for the role, but he “bailed on the movie when he saw the shooting schedule.”
“The complicated plans for the six-month shoot are freaking everyone out,” the source added, “but Brad’s now happy they’ve got the perfect cast.” And a perfect pal!
