Robert Pattinson Is 'Head Over Heels' For Katy Perry As Engagement To FKA Twigs Crumbles
Aug. 9 2017, Updated 4:46 p.m. ET
Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson were not ready for their close-up when they were photographed at the Sunset Tower hotel’s Tower Bar this month. It turns out the establishment has a no-photos policy, but that didn’t stop one diner from snapping the suspicious picture. According to a source, the A-listers are wary of being seen together because Rob is still engaged to FKA Twigs but wants the pop singer instead!
“This is a delicate situation, because Rob and Twigs are still in limbo and he wants to let her down gently. But he’s totally besotted by Katy and ready to dive head first and date her exclusively,” said the insider.
As fans know, Robert and Katy have been rumored to have a romantic connection for years, going back to 2011, though Katy has vehemently denied the rumors, saying they’re just good friends.
But the source says otherwise. “She digs Rob and does find him attractive, but he’s having to wear her down slowly because she's happy to keep their friendship platonic and isn’t in a rush to risk jeopardizing that.”

Meanwhile, FKA Twigs and Robert haven’t been seen out together since May for his Cannes premiere, and even then they avoided walking the red carpet together. On top of that, when on Sirius XM’s The Howard Stern show earlier this year, he said that he and FKA are “kind of” engaged, after he proposed in early 2015.
“Rob’s head over heels and determined to make this happen. Katy’s been his dream girl for years, even while he was with Kristen Stewart,” said the insider.
