Bachelor nation is welcoming their newest (and teeniest!) member! Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici turned to Instagram to announce that they’re expecting their first child. From the gender to the due date, OKMagazine.com has all the exclusive details on the Bachelor baby!
“Catherine can’t be more excited,” a source exclusively revealed. “She’s over the moon. Sean is equally as excited and can’t wait to be a father.”
The baby news didn’t come as a surprise to the Bachelor stars, as the insider revealed they had “been trying” to get pregnant. “They’ve been ready to start a family for 2016,” the source said. “They went to the doctors together because she realized something was up. There wasn’t some crazy big reveal.”
At two months pregnant, the reality stars will welcome their bundle of joy “in the late spring/early summer.” And the countdown begins!
Although Lowe, 32, and Giudici, 29, who tied the knot in January 2014, don’t know the gender of their baby yet, don’t expect them to reveal the news once they find out. “They will likely keep the gender of the baby to themselves and not tell friends and family until the baby is born,” the insider said. “If they even decide to learn the sex of the baby.”
Despite Giudici indulging in sweets on Instagram, the mother-to-be doesn’t have any cravings yet. “She’s living normal day-to-day life,” the source spilled. “She’s doing everything the doctors say to do when pregnant and following doctors precautions and recommendations.”
The baby news comes as the couple is currently participating on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. “It’s not ironic that they made the announcement while they are on Boot Camp,” the insider said, “Everyone was concerned that their relationship was on the rocks when they were on the show, when in reality they just went on the show to strengthen their relationship before having a child. And now they are having a child.”
The successful Bachelor couple broke the baby news over social media. “Hey baby,” Giudici captioned a photo of her husband rubbing her barely-there baby bump. Lowe captioned a similar snap, “It’s happening! I’m going to be a dad!”
