Serena Williams shared the first picture of her baby girl on Wednesday morning! Nearly two weeks after giving birth to her first child, the tennis star took to Instagram to not only post an oh-so cute photo of her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. (she’s named after her daddy, Alexis Olympia Ohanian), but also to share an adorable video of her pregnancy journey.
Serena first posted to her Instastory, where she showed the day she brought her baby girl home.
“We’re leaving the hospital after six, seven days,” she said as she held Alexis in her arms. “It’s been a long time, we had a lot of complications, but look who we got, we got a baby girl!”
The video also included an introduction slide that displayed, "Hello, world. Baby girl Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.,” on the screen. "Born: September 1, 2017. Weight: 6lb 14oz. Grand slam titles: 1." As OK! readers’ know, the new mommy won her 23rd Grand Slam at the Australian Open while 8 weeks pregnant, which she revealed a short time after.
Along with Alexis’ camera debut and name reveal, the proud mommy also shared a montage of memorable moments from her pregnancy, including her first ultrasound, a few precious moments between her and her fiancé (and now baby daddy) Alexis, and of course some baby bump selfies.
Serena also shared this picture of her baby girl lying on her chest, with the caption “Meet Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.,” while also directing fans to her website to see her full pregnancy documentary.
Serena first hinted that she would be sharing something big on Tuesday. That day, she posted a photo of her and her fiancé to Instagram, with the caption, “…but are you ready?”
