Serena Williams Says Planning Meghan Markle's Baby Shower Took 'A Lot Of Effort'

Serena Williams recently opened up about planning bestie Meghan Markle's baby shower in February, adding that it took "a lot of effort" to get everything together. Scroll through for all the details.
Serena, 37, was one of the few women who planned Meghan's state-side baby shower at The Mark Hotel in Manhattan on February 19.
“Planning something like that takes a lot of effort,” Serena told Business of Fashion about hosting the baby shower. “I’m a perfectionist, so I’m like, ‘Let’s make it perfect.'”
“It’s was a lot the last few days,” the pro tennis player shared. Guests participated in a flower arrangement class during the intimate celebration.

Some notable guests included Jessica Mulroney, Amal Clooney, Abigail Spencer, Misha Nonoo, Gayle King, and Meghan's long-time friend, Genevieve Hillis.
With the Duchess' due date coming "any day" now, her mother, Doria Ragland, arrived in London from Los Angeles ahead of the birth of her grandchild in mid-April.
In preparation for their first child, Meghan, 37, and Prince Harry recently made the move from Kensington Palace to Windsor Castle, which is on the outskirts of London.
