Pete Davidson didn't mince words when he was asked about Saturday Night Live actor Chevy Chase. The 24-year-old comedian, and Ariana Grande fiancé, called Chevy a "genuinely bad, racist person" after the 74-year-old actor made offensive remarks in an interview. Read on for more details.

During an appearance on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show, Pete, who stars on SNL, responded to Chevy's comments in a Washington Post profile about how SNL went "downhill" after its first two seasons. Chevy starred on the show throughout its premiere season in 1975.
"He’s a f****** d*****bag," Pete said of the actor. "F*** Chevy Chase. He’s just a genuinely bad, racist person and I don’t like him. He’s a putz."
Pete went on to defend SNL's showrunner and creator Lorne Michaels. In his interview, Chevy attacked the longtime writer and producer. "I’m amazed that Lorne has gone so low. I had to watch a little of it, and I just couldn’t f****** believe it,” Chevy said. "That means a whole generation of s***heads laughs at the worst f******* humor in the world. You know what I mean? How could you dare give that generation worse s*** than they already have in their lives? It just drives me nuts."

"It’s disrespectful to Lorne, too, a guy who gave you a career," Pete told Howard Stern. "No matter how big you get, you can’t forget what that guy did for you." As far as accusing Chevy of being racist, Pete isn't the first to do so. His former Community co-star Donald Glover told The New Yorker earlier this year that Chevy tried to “disrupt" his scenes and made insensitive jokes in between takes.
Chevy also made racist comments in his recent WaPo interview. He said he thought Eddie Murphy’s Stevie Wonder impression was "not that hard, for Christ’s sake. Your skin’s the same color. You just put on some sunglasses and do this."
After he was done calling out Chevy, Pete talked about how he's no longer sober and regularly uses marijuana. "I have Crohn’s disease, so it helps more than you can imagine," he said. "There was a point where I couldn’t get out of bed. I was 110 pounds. I also just love smoking weed. I’ve been smoking weed every day for 8 years."
