Grief is taking its toll on Tamar Braxton. Days after the death of her niece Lauren “LoLo” Braxton, the singer opened up about her mourning process in an emotional Instagram livestream.
Tamar, 42, who is currently on tour with Kandi Burruss for her “Welcome to the Dungeon” experience and filming Braxton Family Values, admitted she would not be attending Lauren’s funeral services because she was too “drained.”
“I’ve been M.I.A. because I just cannot bring myself to post about my niece. Like, I just can’t do it,” she told her followers. “But what I did want to say is I want to thank everyone for sending their condolences.
“I don’t want my sisters or my family to get upset with me, but the things that’s been going on — this is the first time that anybody in my family has passed,” she continued. “Nobody tell you about going to the damn funeral. I don’t have time going to the funeral.”

Though Tamar hasn’t posted about her niece on social media, her sisters Toni and Trina both posted poignant tributes to Lauren.
“I’m still in disbelief and so very heartbroken. Love you…always auntie ‘Te Te,” Toni, 51, wrote.
Lauren was found dead on April 29 after complications related to a heart condition.
