2017 isn't coming off to a good start for Teresa Giudice. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star's mother was laid to rest this past Monday.
Antonia Gorga was only 66 years old and while the cause of death remains unrevealed, RadarOnline discovered that the funeral was held in a church in North New Jersey.
“The service was private and was just for the family and a few close friends,” a member of the RHONJ's inner circle dished out to Radar. “Teresa was very strong but it was emotional. She is crushed about her mom’s death,” another insider said.

As if the unfortunate situation wasn't hard enough to endure, Teresa's husband Joe Giudice could not attend the funeral because he's currently serving a 41-month sentence in jail after being convicted for fraud.
As for the show, Bravo's RHONJ production team began filming three weeks ago, but “has been very respectful of Gorgas and Guidices and is giving them the opportunity to properly grieve.”
