The Disney Channel alum made the decision to go vegan in February 2019. She revealed at the time that her husband Israel Houghton wasn't a fan of her choice. One follower noticed the eggs in her fridge and noted they weren’t vegan. The talk show host responded, “My husband is not vegan but eats almost 70% plant based.”Adrienne announced she was making the switch on Instagram and shared a photo of herself posing in front of a fridge full of vegetables. "The face you make when you officially choose to follow a Vegan / Plant based diet! ?," she captioned her post.

She continued, “So inspired by & loving the @greenprintproject! Anyone else on this journey?! I’ve tagged some of my favorite IG accounts helping me stick to this new lifestyle. Besos xo.” In October 2019, she exclusively revealed to OK! the hardest part about the plant-based diet. "If I’m honest I was never like a big meat eater,” she said. “I was more so a fish eater. So that for me has been the hardest to give up," she said.

"But I think I’m definitely in the groove,” she continued. “I think I recognize that almost everywhere you go, you can get a great salad. So for me it’s not just about being vegan, it’s about being plant-based.”

Adrienne announced on February 25 on social media that she would be releasing a vegan-friendly handbag line called La Voûte. Alongside a video unveiling her new fashion line, she explained in her caption how much hard work and passion she put into creating the brand.
