Watch: Tamera Mowry Breaks Down In Tears On ‘The Real’ After Niece's Death

Tamera Mowry-Housley had to take leave from The Real after her niece Alaina Housley was pronounced dead on November 7th after a deadly nightclub massacre in California. On November 26th she returned to the show but it wasn’t without tears. Scroll below for her touching words on behalf of Alaina.
Holding back tears Tamera said, “Alaina was very sweet and loving and kind. She was also a debater, so she would want me to debate that.”
The grieving aunt then got choked up as she said, “Our country – and it’s sad to say this but you have to be living under a rock to not believe this. Our country is sick!”
Tamera continued in tears, “It’s diseased. It needs healing – it needs healing from within.”

In another clip posted to the show’s Instagram account, Tamera revealed, “Alaina was my niece from marriage but she was my friend and my sister from my heart.”
Since losing Alaina, her Real co-stars posted a message to her in support. “We love you so much, @TameraMowryTwo and the entire Housley family. We continue to send our thoughts, love and prayers of peace to you today and in all the days to come,” they said on Instagram.
