The Wildest Beauty Trends of 2013
Jan. 28 2015, Updated 2:10 p.m. ET
Rihanna had the blues, Kim Kardashian had a bloody facial and a few other A-List ladies bleached, shaved, painted, and bedazzled in the name of beauty. Take a look at the biggest hair, makeup, and nail design moments of the past year.
Blue Lips
She's the "only girl in the world" who could pull off blue lips. Bad Gal Riri doesn't follow trends, she starts them.
Grillz
Grillzzzzz were everywhere this year. From Katy and Miley to Gaga and Madonna, there wasn't one pop star that didn't get in on the decorative teeth plate action.
Crystal-Covered Lids
Maria Menounos really went there with crystal-covered lids. Gorgeous yes, but we're thinking blinking could have been an issue.
Vampire Facial
Remember that time Kim Kardashian got a vampire facial on TV? 'Cause we DO.
Definition of vampire facial: a $1,500 treatment which separates the platelets in your own blood into a plasma that's combined with Restylane or Juvederm and injected into the face for anti-aging benefits. The 45-minute procedure even made it's way into the Oscar's swag bag.
We always know Kimmy was a Twi-Hard.
Colored Hair
Colored streaks are not going anywhere anytime soon. As a huge trend for the second year in a row, these unique hues covered the full spectrum of the rainbow (and almost every famous head in Hollywood).

Bleached Brows
Miley has said in the past that she can't be tamed—maybe she was also referring to her arches and thus choose to bleach 'em out in lieu of shaping and coloring them?
Shaved Sides
Although pixies ruled the red carpet in 2013, let's not forget another huge hairstyle that kept popping up: shaved sides. Both Cassie and Rihanna spotted this 'do, but coincidentally changed their hair with the seasons—before it got cold. Smart girls.
The Scrunchie
Scrunchie moment. Whatever JLo does we do.
Cornrow Braids
Khloe Kardashian, Carmen Electra, and Kristen Stewart all opted for side-cornrow braids this year, leaving the fishtail and waterfall in the dust.
Nail Art
And the battle for the best nail art rages on...straight into 2014.
