'Today' Show Host Kathie Lee Gifford Announces Departure Date

Time to say good-bye! Longtime Today show host Kathie Lee Gifford officially announced her last day on the show on Monday, February 25. She revealed the news on today's broadcast.
While the news of departure was announced in December, the exact date was unknown until now.
The 65-year-old will be leaving the show on April 5.
Her exit comes almost full circle to her 11th anniversary of hosting the show. She would be celebrating 11 years as host on April 7.

Fellow host Hoda Kotb paid tribute to her BFF on today's broadcast with a special montage. Famous friends and colleagues like Andy Cohen, Regis Philbin and Katie Couric spoke in the montage and sent her sweet messages about her exit.
Kathie may be moving on from daytime television, but the news anchor will still be pursuing other projects.
