Over the years, fans have watched Tyler Baltierra deal with Butch's struggle to remain sober. As seen in recent episodes, the Teen Mom OG grandpa admitted, at the time of filming, to relapsing. A source revealed to RadarOnline.com that Tyler's father is still struggling.
“Butch isn’t sober,” a source close to Tyler said. “He struggles with it.”
Luckily, Butch is “nothing like he used to be.”
“He talks about it, he sees someone, he doesn’t disappear for days at a time,” the insider said.

Despite still struggling and using, Butch is focused on “his relationship with his family.”
As seen in last night's episode, Tyler talked to his dad about checking back into rehab after he's done working on their home. Butch was all for the idea at the time of filming.
